So I can’t share any updates on the blog during this time. However, I can tell you I have been thinking of all the new things we want to do with the rooms. Some of them are easier than others.
I thought for Hudson’s room it might be fun to go a bit more modern. And it all started with a sheet I came across. I fell in love with it… and decided along with the map sheet – Arrows, teepees, brave. And decided to go from there.
I will try and keep as much as we have and reuse it. Which means re-painting his dresser. Keeping the cub and the rocker the way we have it and just accessorizing a bit differently. But I am excited to come up with a new space… and it is even more fun that I get to make the decisions because he’s too little to demand dinosaurs like the other one ;)
So it all started with the sheet. And then Lauren introduced me to the animal heads which I thought were whimsical and fun. A soft plush rug to play on. Arrow stenciled wall. The inspirational wall art. A dream catcher… and some gold accents like the banner and hopefully a few more things I come across.
So here is my inspiration board as it is now….
I have my heart set on some gold arrow curtain rods at Pottery Barn but think they are ridiculously over priced…. so I am hoping to find some knock offs somewhere.
The kids bedrooms are about half the size they have now. So it will be interesting to come up with this space. But I think a lot of black and white in a small space has such a great impact. I cannot wait to get started !!!
I think I would fill my whole house with these signs if I could. I mean seriously… isn’t it awesome?
And don’t even get me started on that sheet. I can’t wait to stand above Hudson’s crib as he naps and
stalkingly Lovingly take photos of him.
What about you? Too much black and white? Just enough? What is your favorite?
