I love Christmas traditions with the kids. And nothing is better at this time of year then having little kids at home. Last night we joined two of our favorite traditions. 1. Elf on a Shelf and 2. Portable North Pole.
Elf on the Shelf – People seem to have a love/hate relationship with that elf. I love it. I do think it’s hard to keep up with… if you don’t have it planned out. For me, figuring out ahead of time the coming up week helps out so much. That way I have it all set in my head what they need to be doing that night and it’s easier than standing there at 2am trying to get creative with this elf who is impossible to pose. Speaking of which I found a pin that shows how to make them bendable and poseable. I plan on checking that out this weekend to make my life easier. And there are nights where I am crabby and forgot to plan it out and scrambling… so I get it. But the fact that Maddux’s face lights up every morning seeing what kind of mischief Clint got himself into… It’s worth it.
Portable North Pole – Guys. These videos are worth it. They are such great quality. They have free versions that are great. But if you can, especially if you have multiple children… Pay the 9.99 for the personalized versions. This is absolutely one of my favorite moments every year watching the expression on Maddux’s face as he watches this video. Here is a link to Maddux’s video below. Which I shared on Facebook
Do you do a Christmas video? Phone Call? Or letter from Santa? What is your favorite source for this holiday magic? :)
Guys – I apologize on this being a bit late. The stomach bug hit our household over the weekend, so nothing we had planned to get done got done.
So things got pushed back. Ya know how that goes…
So rather than ask my recovering husband to finish up the few projects he had started last night. We took another night off to recover. So today… I will be doing another Starbucks $5 giveaway. :)
